EURO 2008 Qualifier - England vs Croatia

I don't post alot. But this one is worth it IMHO.

I have watched most of the Euro 2008 qualification games from all the groups and in my opinion, Croatia has a team that has yet to reach its full potential. They are already one of the top performing teams in Europe, but they are a young squad that should get better.

Romania and Germany are other teams that are looking sharp…as for the England-Croatia game…if both teams needed a win, I would pick Croatia over England (especially with the injuries on the England squad)

Most believe that Croatia have nothing to play for, as they have already qualified, but, finishing first is critical to the next step in the selection process. You want to be a 1 seed and a TIE or WIN will secure it for the Croatians. Also, too many injuries on the English side. They lads are in a tough spot here even at home. I think if England lose this will be the end of McLaren. I don't like him at the helm anyway. Therefore I predict either a 0-0 draw or 1-0 Croatia win.

I think both teams are good but looking at Croatia ,they are the better team right now.

no idea.. but im still wondering why mcclaren decided to field barry instead of hargreaves. poor decision imo.

and not playing crouch and beckham from the start is simply not maximising the potential of the partnership between these two.

McClaren is an idiot, what did you expect? Did he ever make the correct choice when choosing his team?

Just horrendous, they should fire him before he gets to the podium for his post game press conference. There are probably only 3 teams in all of Europe more talented than England and they can't even qualify in what was a relatively easy qualification group. Just horrendous.

That is arguable. Less interesting from the standpoint that a marquee team and its corresponding soap opera aren't there, but from a footballing standpoint Russia plays better and more attractive ball. England, for all of their talent, has been excruciating to watch under both Erikson and McClaren.

With that said, it does suck. I would prefer all of the big teams be there and they certainly qualify.

maybe mcclaren will take up the vacancy at birmingham city, i think he would do a pretty good job.
